One of the key forces driving this re-elected Albanese Labor Government is a Future Made in Australia – the idea that we should be making more things here, supporting and uplifting Australian manufacturing.
And that includes Australian manufacturing in the form of filmmaking, songwriting, choreography, set creation, storytelling, game design and all of the visual, physical and musical arts.
As Fremantle’s representative and a life-long local, I know how vital the arts are to Fremantle’s identity. I will always work to make sure that our artists have the support they need to tell our stories, celebrate our diversity, honour tradition, and encourage experimentation.
To this end, I’m pleased to share a wide range of new arts funding opportunities that are open to artists, writers, musicians and other creatives. These grants can support creative people in our community to realise their creative ambitions, develop their skills and connect with audiences.
