I completely agree with animal welfare experts, that the health and well-being of the animals has to be paramount.

We now assess animal welfare on the basis of heat stress. It’s not good enough, and the Australian community won’t accept, sheep going from Australia and getting to the other end, technically alive, having undergone intolerable heat stress.
